(We say boulier for abacus, thus that pun with George Bool, father of the famous boolean algebra) It's an object to teach computer science to kids, without computers :) e.g.: JPEG compression and other binary related things. You can see how the tokens switches on this short video : http://flic.kr/p/auGs4d The original idea was brought up by friends at our Makerspace for the Science Fair.
