Research involves development of experiments to prove or disprove a hypothesis. Experiment heavily depend on isolating the variable in question, keeping any other factors constant. The Airfoil is designed for keeping the air flowing inside a windtunnel to be laminar. This means we can reduce errors due to the turbulent nature of the air flow. Thus giving chance to study the fundamental effects of the airflow over object in study (e.g water droplet, crystal structure , etc)
